SSC CPO 2020 Exam Notification

SSC CPO 2020 Exam is a National-Level exam conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) every year for the recruitment of the Inspector Posts and Sub Inspector Posts :
- Sub Inspector in Delhi Police,
- Sub Inspector in CAPFs,
- Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF,
As per the SSC Official Exam Calendar, The official notification for SSC CPO 2020 is expected to be released on 17th April 2020.
The SSC CPO Exam 2020 Paper-I is expected to held from 28th September to 1st October 2020. However, due to the recent situation of COVID-19 effect in the country, SSC CPO can be postponed.
SSC CPO Eligibility
The candidate must be either: A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India
Educational Qualification for all posts is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
Age limit of the candidates should be from 20 to 25 years

SSC CPO Exam Pattern
The examination will consist of Paper-I (Objective Multiple Choice Type), Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II (Objective Multiple Choice Type) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All these stages of the examination are mandatory.
The Questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type in both papers i.e. Paper I and II. Questions will be set in Hindi and English. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-I & Paper-II. Details of these Papers/ Tests are as follows

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in Paper-I, for appearing in PET/ PST Examination. SSC shall have the discretion to fix different minimum qualifying marks in each part of Paper-I taking into consideration among others, category-wise vacancies and category-wise number of candidates. PET/ PST are mandatory but qualifying in nature. Those candidates who declared qualified in PET/ PST will be allowed to appear in Paper-II Examination.
SSC CPO Exam Cut-Off
The SSC CPO Cut-Off 2020 will be released after the exam of each phase is complete.

SSC CPO: How to Apply
The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:
I. One-time Registration.
II. Filling online Application for the Examination.
Submit Applications in online mode only at the official website of SSC i.e. https://ssc.nic.in.
THE CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED THAT THEIR NAME, FATHER’S NAME, MOTHER’S NAME, DATE OF BIRTH AND ACADEMIC DETAILS SHOULD BE FILLED EXACTLY AS RECORDED IN BOARD (MATRICULATION) CERTIFICATE. YOUR CANDIDATURE MAY GET CANCELLED IN CASE OF ANY INCORRECT/ WRONG INFORMATION.
Submit your online applications much before the closing date. Don’t wait till the last date.
Application Fee
Fee payable: Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only). You can pay SSC CGL application form fee through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Credit, or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branch by generating SBI Challan. Female candidates and the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee.

NOTE- There shall be no minimum requirement of chest measurement for Female candidates.
- The Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) will not carry any marks, It will be of qualifying/ elimination nature. Candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e. height and chest, may prefer an appeal, if they so desire, to the appellate authority present on the PET/ PST ground.
Medical standard (For all posts)
Those candidates who qualify in Paper-II will be medically examined by the Medical Officer. Unfit candidates will be informed and they can appeal for Review to the Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days.
The minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye). The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) of both eyes without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery of any kind to improve visual acuity. |
Candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. |
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect. |
Candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in PET/ PST Examination on the basis of their performance in Paper-I, PET/ PST are mandatory but qualifying in nature. Those candidates who qualify in PET/ PST will be allowed to appear in Paper-II Examination.
